Sexual Abuse Therapy

Upper Circle Inc. utilizes the most advanced therapy techniques available to reduce trauma and speed healing.

Therapy is offered to the abuser, abused and family of sexual trauma, with the understanding that trauma imprints on both their lives and must be cleared for healthy living to proceed for all members of a family.

Abused Therapy (Victims)

Victims of sexual abuse suffer. The length and degree to which each individual tolerates the internal chaos and the damaging and draining relationships that ensue is a highly personal choice.

I offer the most advanced trauma reducing therapy to my clients, with results from the very first session. Many victims suffer from sensory "triggers" that bring back the abuse in their present life. Stop the abuse NOW!

Some of the most advanced techniques in trauma reduction are through EMDR, if you would like more information about these specific techniques please go to
www.emdr.com  to explore these exciting therapies that rapidly change your life and relationship with your world.

The triggers that continue to compound the abuse result in re-traumatization of self.  These episodes don't have to continue to be a part of your life.  You can end this relationship with your abuse when you are ready to do so.  These techniques do not require that you relive and re-traumatize yourself by going through all the details of your experiences, rather they are gentle and efficient techniques allowing you to release the trauma.

Therapy and Support Groups:

Six Week Support Groups are offered at the following times for females age 13+

S
ix week Support Groups are offered for Male Survivors of sexual abuse groups age 13+

In addition, individual, on-going therapy is offered to victims of recent or past sexual abuse.

Family Support Therapy

One of the most neglected groups of people are the family members of abused and abusers, they go through the entire investigation, court, jail and prison process with the people they love and care about often without any support.

This is especially hurtful when the abuse happens within the family unit itself and splinters the family as a result.  Please call for the support you need.

Individual, couple and family therapy is available at Upper Circle to address these issues, with the understanding and experience of sexual abuse's impact on the family.

"Oregon Cure" is a group that supports family members of people incarcerated.

"So Hopeful" is an organization that supports sex offenders and their families and attempts to moderate the legislation that can be extreme at times against sexual abusers.

Abel Screening of Sexual Interest

The Abel Screening of Sexual Interest, may help.

This is a specific test that helps to determine the sexual interests a person has developed. It can be given to anyone, male or female from age 12 to 100.

The profile that emerges is the total picture of sexual behaviors the person has engaged in up to this point in life, and their pattern of sexual interests. You can easily see what normal interests they have, and those areas where there is concern.
