There are set fees for various therapy services. For clients who are paying the fee for their session and not using insurance there are discounts on these fees. Please see the rates in the intake materials for the current fee schedule.
Sliding Fee Scale
Many clients ask about a sliding fee scale which is available for sessions with Mr. Hubbard at the following rates for a 50 minute session:
$50 $60 $70
These rates are based on family income levels, please discuss this with him Prior to your first session, these discounts are offered on non-mandated cases only, if you are court ordered to therapy these discounts are not available.

At UCI we will bill your insurance company for therapy services you receive with our counselors. At the time of your first session you are asked to pay the co-pay/deductible for the session and if you do not know the amount you are asked to pay the entire session fee until we can establish your correct fee.
Sometimes it helps for you to call your insurance company to find out your rate and provide it to your counselor and bring that information to your initial appointment to expedite the process.
You will also need to bring your insurance card with you so a copy of the front and back of the card can be made to obtain all the necessary phone numbers and processing numbers for your individual company.
If you have two insurance companies please find out which one is the PRIMARY company and which is secondary to avoid delays and problems in processing.
On very rare occassions insurance companies do not pay for the sessions, and if this happens the entire fee is your responsibility at the billed insurance rate. Please keep us informed if your insurance changes or ends, when a new plan year begins and when you owe deductible.
We ask you to make your co-pay, co-insurance and deductible payment at the beginning of the therapy session and have it ready when you walk in the door, this saves valuable therapy time so you can get the most our of your sessions. We will also make the next appointment at this time as well.
We bill most insurance companies and are in-network with all national and local companies except Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield. We are happy to bill BCBS for you, however, they will mail the payment for the sessions directly to you; therefore we ask you to make your payment at each session to the counselor for the entire amount.
