Do you need to know if the person you love might have a sexual problem?
Consider utilizing the latest and most useful testing with the Abel Assessment to determine if there are any sexual interests in dangerous areas. Your peace of mind is worth it.
In addition, therapy support is offered to family members of abusers and abuse victims. Crime Victim Compensation will support victim therapy in prosecuted cases, be certain to complete your application during the court case.
Abel Screening of Sexual Interest
The Abel Screening of Sexual Interest, may help.
This is a specific test that helps to determine the sexual interests a person has developed. It can be given to anyone, male or female from age 12 to 100.
The profile that emerges is the total picture of sexual behaviors the person has engaged in up to this point in life, and their pattern of sexual interests. You can easily see what normal interests they have, and those areas where there is concern.
Interested in more information about this assessment process. Please call or write for further information. You are always welcome to contact Abel Assessment themselves, their website link is below.
With the completion of the first portion of the treatment program or the completion of an evaluation recommending the Accelerated Program, clients may attend this program which is abbreviated and intended to allow the client to complete it at a faster pace. Please speak to Beth or Michael about this program.
Young Offender Program
This program was developed for clients who are 18-25 who do not have an extensive criminal history or sexual offending history. Like the accelerated program it is intended to target a special population of clients and speed the treatment process. Please speak to Beth or Michael about this program if it sounds like a good fit for you.
Getting Started in Therapy
If you are ready to begin treatment for your sex offense conviction or sexual addiction, please download the Adobe documents located in the "FORMS" section, print them out, fill them out and bring them to your first appointment.
You will find a detailed treatment contract that lists the limitations imposed on you by entering into treatment and is a further explanation of your PPS, Parole or Probation conditions, which may or may not have been explained to you.
These are also useful documents for you to review with your family, and support circle so they are included and fully aware of your limitations and so they can gain an understanding of the expectations placed on you at this time.
Please call me if you have questions regarding any portion of the documents and fill them out completely. We will review them at your first appointment.
Therapy is available for men, women, youth 12 - 17 and Adults 18 - 100.
